Dumpling Skirt

Ingredients

  • 6 dumplings
  • 1 1/2 tsp cornstarch or potato starch
    1/3 cup water
    1 tbsp cooking oil

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch and water to create a slurry. This amount works for 6–7 dumplings.
  2. Heat a pan over medium heat, add the cooking oil, and arrange the dumplings in the pan.
  3. Pour the slurry into the pan, make sure it spreads evenly around the dumplings.
  4. Cover the pan and cook over medium heat until the water evaporates.
  5. Lower the heat to low, uncover the lid, and continue cooking until the bottom turns crispy and golden brown.
  6. The slurry will form a delicate, lacy web connecting the dumplings. Enjoy!
