Golden Fried Rice

Ingredients

  • 3 cups leftover cooked rice
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 scallions
  • 2 tbsp garlic, minced
  • 1 shallot, chopped
  • A sprinkle of MSG
  • 2 tbsp sambal

Instructions

  1. Separate the egg yolks from the whites.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the leftover cooked rice with the egg yolks until the rice is evenly coated.
  3. Heat some cooking oil in a pan over medium-high heat, and sauté the white parts of the scallions with the minced garlic until fragrant.
  4. Add the egg yolk-coated rice to the pan and cook until the grains loosen and separate. Season with a sprinkle of MSG.
  5. Create a space in the middle of the pan, then add the chopped shallot, separated egg whites, and sambal to the center. Stir-fry for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Combine all the ingredients in the pan and stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until everything is well mixed and cooked through.
