Ingredients
- 2 slices of bread
- 2-3 slices of mozzarella or cheddar cheese
Topping
- 2 tbsp butter
- 5 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp hojicha powder
- 1/4 cup hot water
Instructions
- Prepare the topping by mixing the butter, flour, egg, powdered sugar, and hojicha with hot water until smooth. Transfer the mixture to a piping bag.
- Place the cheese slices between the two slices of bread.
- Pipe the topping mixture onto the top of the bread.
- Toast in a preheated oven at 400°F for 10-12 minutes, until golden.
