Deonjang Jigae & Japchae

Ingredients

Soybean Soup

  • 1 small potato
  • 1/4 onion
  • 1/4 zucchini
  • 2 shiitake mushrooms
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • Tofu
  • Premade soybean soup sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups water

Japchae

  • 2 shiitake mushrooms
  • 1 bunch of japchae noodles
  • Premade japchae sauce
  • 1 tbsp garlic
  • 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 1 carrot
  • 1/4 onion
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 1 cup spinach
  • 1 egg
  • 2 scallions
  • – tbsp sesame oil

Instructions

Soybean Soup

  1. In a pot, combine all the ingredients for the soybean soup.
  2. Bring to a boil, then simmer until the vegetables are tender.

Japchae

  1. Soak the japchae noodles overnight
  2. Stir-fry each ingredient separately.
  3. Add the noodles back to the pan and mix in the premade sauce.
  4. Stir-fry together until well combined.
