Ingredients
- Thin meat slices (I use short ribs)
- 1 carrot
- 1 scallion
- 1/4 purple cabbage
- 2 shiitake mushrooms
- 1 shimeji mushroom
- 1 enoki mushroom
- 1 cup bean sprouts
- 1 napa cabbage
- Yellow/red bell peppers
- 3-5 okra
- 1 lotus root
Spicy Sauce
- 1 tbsp garlic
- 1 tbsp chili oil
- 1 tbsp light soy sauce
- 1 tbsp black vinegar
- 1/4 tsp MSG
- 1 tsp sugar
- 2 tbsp water
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds
- Scallion and cilantro
- Salt and pepper, as needed
Sesame Sauce
- 1 tbsp garlic
- 5 tbsp sesame paste
- 1 tsp fermented tofu
- 1/4 tsp MSG
- 1/4 cup water
- Cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Roll the vegetables in the meat slices and assemble them in a steaming tray.
- Place the steaming tray or basket in a pan and steam for 20 minutes, or until the meat is cooked and the vegetables have softened.
- Dip in the sauce condiments and enjoy.
