Ingredients
- 1 baguette
- 2 sweet onions
- 1 tbsp calabrian sauce
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 2 heads garlic
- 1 rosmery
- 1 thyme
- Salt and pepper as needed
- 2 tbsp Fromager d’Affnois Garlic and Herbs
- Parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven – Set your oven to 380°F (193°C).
- Roast the Onions & Garlic
- In a baking pan, combine sliced onions, Calabrian chili sauce, olive oil, butter, halved garlic heads (cut side up), rosemary, thyme, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Toss gently to coat everything.
- Roast uncovered for about 40 minutes, stirring once or twice until the onions are soft and caramelized.
- Prepare the Spread
- Remove the pan from the oven.
- Squeeze out the roasted garlic cloves and discard the skins.
- Mix the softened garlic into the caramelized onions.
- Stir in the Fromager d’Affinois cheese until smooth and creamy.
- Assemble the Toasts
- Spread a generous layer of the onion mixture onto the baguette slices.
- Arrange on a baking sheet and toast in the oven for 10 minutes, or until the edges are crispy and golden.
- Finish & Serve
