Honey Yuzu Caramelized Kabocha

Ingredients

  • 6 slices white bread
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon powder

Matcha Paste

  • 3 tsp Aiya Culinary Grade Matcha Powder
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1/4 cup hot water
  • 1 tbsp peanut butter

Instructions

  1. Trim the crusts off the bread slices and flatten each one with a rolling pin.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together matcha powder, honey, hot water, and peanut butter until smooth to make the matcha paste.
  3. Spread a thin layer of matcha paste over each slice of bread, then roll them up tightly.
  4. Cut each roll into bite-sized pieces.
  5. In a bowl, mix together sugar and cinnamon, then toss the matcha rolls until evenly coated.
  6. Place the coated rolls on a baking tray and bake at 400°F for about 15 minutes, flipping halfway through for even crispiness.
  7. Let them cool slightly, then enjoy as a mini cinnamon roll cereal with milk or as a crunchy snack!
