Easy Chicken Rice Bowl

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 tbsp furikake seasoning
  • 1 slice cheddar cheese
  • 1 bag frozen Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken (Laoban brand)
  • Toasted sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the popcorn chicken according to package instructions (I used an air fryer for extra crispiness).
  2. Meanwhile, mix the cooked rice with furikake seasoning and top with a slice of cheddar cheese.
  3. Lightly torch the cheese until it’s melty and slightly charred.
  4. Once the chicken is done, layer it on top of the rice and add the Bachan sauce that comes with the box.
  5. Then add an organic pasture-raised egg yolk.
    Tip: If you prefer not to use raw egg, cook it onsen-style for that soft, yolky texture.
  6. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and enjoy!
