Ingredients
- 18 dumpling wrappers
- 1 bunch scallions (green parts only)
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tbsp five-spice powder
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp cooking oil
Instructions
- Finely chop the scallions and place them in a bowl. Season with salt, five-spice powder, and sesame oil. Mix well.
- Lay one dumpling wrapper flat, spread a thin layer of scallion mixture on top, then place another wrapper over it. Repeat once more, you’ll have three layers total, with scallions between each.
- Gently press the stack with a rolling pin until even. Make a few light vertical cuts to help shape it into a circle more easily.
- Roll the layered stack into a spiral shape (like a cinnamon roll), then press it down and roll it flat again to form your pancake.
- Heat a bit of cooking oil in a nonstick pan over medium heat. Cook the pancake until both sides are golden brown and crispy.
- Enjoy the scallion pancake warm, straight from the pan!
