Ingredients
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1/2 cup diced red onion
- 1/2 lb chicken thighs or chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/2 cup chicken stock
- Salt, to taste
- 1 jar Patak’s Butter Chicken Simmer Sauce
- 1 tbsp heavy cream (for drizzle)
- Fresh cilantro, for garnish
- 1 cup basmati rice (cooked according to package instructions)
Instructions
- Heat a drizzle of cooking oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add the garlic and red onion, and sauté until fragrant and slightly softened.
- Add the chicken and stir-fry until lightly browned on the outside. Pour in the chicken stock and season with salt as needed. Let it cook until the chicken is fully cooked through.
- Stir in the Patak’s Butter Chicken Simmer Sauce and let it simmer for about 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to come together.
- Drizzle with heavy cream and garnish with fresh cilantro. Serve warm over fluffy basmati rice and enjoy!
