Kbbq Sliders

Ingredients

  • 1 pack King’s Hawaiian Original Sweet Rolls
  • 4-5 tbsp ssamjang
  • 1 cup kimchi
  • 2 green peppers
  • 3-5 garlic
  • 4 lettuce
  • 2 scallions
    For the Pork Marinade:
  • 1 lb thinly sliced pork shoulder
  • 3 tbsp gochujang
  • 1 tbsp gochugaru
  • 3 tbsp soysauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp garlic
  • 1 tbsp ginger
  • 2 tbsp mirin
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 onion
  • 5-6 shiitake mushrooms

Instructions

  1. Shred the scallions finely and soak them in a bowl of cold water to curl.
  2. Marinate the pork for at least 30 mins.
  3. Cook the marinated pork until caramelized.
  4. Use store-bought ssamjang or make it fresh if preferred.
  5. Slice the slider rolls in half. Spread ssamjang on the bottom half.
  6. Add a layer of kimchi, green peppers, garlic slices, lettuce, cooked pork, and shredded scallions. Top with the other half of the roll.
