- Rice cakes (kiri mochi)
- Salt
- Crunchy garlic
- Star anise, cinnamon stick, ginger, clove, cardamom pod
- Ground roasted peanuts
- Chili oil
- Crumbled feta cheese
- Neutral oil
- Scallions (for garnish)
Instructions
- Roast rice cakes over a flame until they split. For extra crunch, continue roasting slightly longer.
- Toast star anise, cinnamon stick, ginger, clove, and cardamom in a pan. Pour hot oil over the spices to infuse.
- Season the roasted rice cakes with salt, five-spice oil, crunchy garlic, ground peanuts, chili oil, and crumbled feta. Garnish with scallions and enjoy!
