Ingredients:
- 5 chicken drumsticks (lollipop style)
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp ginger powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 2 eggs, whisked
- All-purpose flour
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 5 wonton wrappers
- Oil for deep frying
- Barbecue sauce, for dipping
Instructions:
- If your drumsticks aren’t prepped lollipop-style, push the meat and skin down toward the thick end of the bone to form a “lollipop” shape.
- In a bowl, season the chicken with garlic powder, ginger powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Let it marinate for 20–30 minutes.
- While the chicken marinates, heat oil in a deep fryer or heavy pot to 350°F–375°F.
- Dredge each drumstick in flour, then dip into the whisked eggs.
- Cut the wonton wrappers into thin strips and wrap them around the drumstick ends for a crispy crunch.
- Carefully deep-fry the chicken until golden and the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Remove and let rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
- Serve with your favorite barbecue sauce and enjoy!
