Ingredients
- 1 pack King’s Hawaiian Slider Buns
- 3 slices cheddar cheese
- ½ lb ground pork or beef
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tbsp minced shallot
- 1 tbsp minced ginger
- 1 tbsp Sichuan pepper oil
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp sugar
- Cooking oil
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the ground meat with garlic, shallot, ginger, Sichuan pepper oil, salt, and sugar. Form into 12 small patties.
- Cut each cheese slice into 4 small squares to make 12 pieces total.
- Heat a pan or grill with a bit of oil. Cook the patties until golden brown, then top each with a cheese square. Cover briefly to let the cheese melt.
- Lightly toast the insides of the slider buns. Stack each bun with a cheesy patty.
- Let them cool slightly, then press each slider into a mooncake mold for that signature shape and enjoy!
