Fish & Chips Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp Kashmiri red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp hot oil
  • 1 shallot, finely chopped
  • 3 tbsp chopped cilantro
  • 3 tbsp chopped scallions
  • 1 cup fish nuggets
  • 2 cups potato chips

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, salt, sugar, and black pepper.
  2. Cook the fish nuggets according to the package instructions.
  3. Heat the oil until it reaches about 400°F, then carefully pour it over the seasoning mixture. Stir immediately, it should sizzle!
  4. Add the chopped shallot, cilantro, scallions and mustard seeds, stirring to combine.
  5. Toss in the potato chips and cooked fish nuggets, gently mixing until everything is evenly coated.
  6. Serve immediately while the chips are still crispy. Enjoy!
