One Pan Butter Chicken Rice

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1/2 cup diced red onion
  • 1/2 lb chicken thighs or chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 cup chicken stock
  • Salt, to taste
  • 1 jar Patak’s Butter Chicken Simmer Sauce
  • 1 tbsp heavy cream (for drizzle)
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish
  • 1 cup basmati rice (cooked according to package instructions)

Instructions

  1. Heat a drizzle of cooking oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add the garlic and red onion, and sauté until fragrant and slightly softened.
  2. Add the chicken and stir-fry until lightly browned on the outside. Pour in the chicken stock and season with salt as needed. Let it cook until the chicken is fully cooked through.
  3. Stir in the Patak’s Butter Chicken Simmer Sauce and let it simmer for about 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to come together.
  4. Drizzle with heavy cream and garnish with fresh cilantro. Serve warm over fluffy basmati rice and enjoy!
