Ingredients
- 1 sheet nori
- 1 cup cooked sushi rice
- 1 tbsp furikake
- All-purpose flour, for dredging
- 1 egg, beaten
- Japanese panko breadcrumbs
- Cooking oil, for frying
- 1 can tuna, drained
- 1 mini cucumber, sliced
- ½ avocado, sliced
- 5 shrimps, cooked
- Kewpie mayo
- Sriracha
- Scallions, sliced
- Toasted sesame seeds
- Chips, for serving
Instructions
- Lay the nori sheet flat and spread the sushi rice evenly over it. Sprinkle with furikake, then tightly roll into a sushi roll.
- Dredge the roll in flour, dip it into the beaten egg, then coat evenly with panko.
- Heat the cooking oil and fry the roll until golden brown and crispy on the outside. Remove and drain on a paper towel.
- Slice the crispy roll in half and layer with tuna, cucumber, avocado, and shrimp.
- Drizzle generously with Kewpie mayo and Sriracha, then finish with sliced scallions and toasted sesame seeds.
- Serve immediately with your favorite chips for a fun, crunchy pairing.
