Ingredients
- 300g shrimp (peeled & deveined)
- 1.5 tbsp potato starch
- 1 tsp salt
- 1-2 scallions (chopped)
- 1 egg white
- 1/2 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp white pepper powder
- 1 tsp each: minced garlic, ginger, sugar
- 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
- Pinch of MSG (optional)
- Sesame seeds (for coating)
- 1 pack of King’s hawaiian bread (crusts removed)
- Vegetable oil (for frying)
Instructions
- Mix Filling: Chop shrimp into a paste. Mix with potato starch, salt, scallions, egg white, sesame oil, white pepper, garlic, ginger, sugar, soy sauce, and MSG.
- Assemble: Spread shrimp mix onto bread slices and coat the sides with sesame seeds.
- Fry: Heat oil to 350°F. Fry 2-3 minutes until golden. Flip and fry the other side for another 1-2 mins.
- Serve: Drain on paper towels and enjoy with dipping sauce.
