Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp scallions
- 1/4 tsp white pepper powder
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/4 tsp MSG
- 1/2 tomato
- 1 tbsp dried shrimp, soaked
- 6-7 pieces bean threads
- Sesame seeds for garnish
- 2 cups water
Instructions
- In a pot, bring water to a boil until bubbles form, then reduce to low heat.
- Whisk the eggs and slowly pour them into the simmering water.
- Allow the egg to sit undisturbed for a minute to create delicate “egg flower” waves, then gently stir.
- In a separate bowl, combine the tomato, soaked dried shrimp, scallions, bean threads, sesame oil, sesame seeds, MSG, salt, white pepper powder and soy sauce.
- Add the mixture to the pot, increase the heat to medium, and simmer for another 2 minutes.
- Turn off the heat and serve.
